Russia's state-owned nuclear power engineering company Atomstroiexport plans to bid in a tender to upgrade Hungary's sole, Soviet-built, nuclear plant in Paks, daily Magyar Hírlap reported. The tender is expected to be held in 2006. Atomstroiexport may be able to start working on the project in 2007 and have it completed by 2012, Rumyantsev said. Rumyantsev said that talks about Russia's participation in the project are under way at the moment. Rumyantsev is visiting Hungary together with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov.
