The National Consumer Protection Association has won a lawsuit against mobile phone company Vodafone Rt, which modified its general terms of agreement in a way that was found to be unilateral, unfair and against the law. The Budapest Appeals Court ruled that Vodafone must not restrict the data traffic of subscribers who signed a contract for unlimited GPRS service. The subscribers who were attracted by the unlimited offer, and subsequently terminated the contract when Vodafone introduced the restriction, are entitled to a refund of the forfeit they were required to pay as a result, the association claims. However, the phone company is still ignoring the court decision and has refused to reimburse subscribers, the latter complained recently.
