Revenues quadruple at Vatera

Vatera Hungary Kft, the firm operating online auction portal www.vatera.hu, posted traffic revenues in 2004 of Ft 1.2 billion, according to a statement from the company. This represents an increase of almost 300% on the previous year.
Vatera is a virtual auction marketplace with some 57,000 registered users. The firm, founded by Hungarian private individuals, has grown into an international operation, with a base in the Netherlands, and subsidiaries in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Vatera revenues from internet traffic in 2002 were Ft 93 million, rising to Ft 317 million in 2003.
