Rácz reiterates health sector priorities

Healthcare is a top government priority, meaning that a structural transformation is planned to improve the system, the health minister said yesterday. Speaking before parliaments health committee, Jeno Rácz reported on the past year and future plans. Noting that about Ft 300 billion had been pumped into healthcare annually since 2002, he ascertained that the level of care and the level of satisfaction had remained unchanged. Pointing out that a future system had to be self-sustaining, he said that preventive care including screening programs were a top priority as was emergency care. (MTI)
