All privatization deals made in the current government cycle since 2002 have been transparent and in line with effective regulations, ready for scrutiny by the opposition, the chairman of the junior coalition SZDSZ party said on public television on Monday. Gábor Kuncze spoke in MTV's Napkelte in the wake of remarks made by opposition leader Viktor Orbán at the weekend, who said that his Fidesz party, if in government from 2006, would look into the privatization process and would reverse deals if regulations had been violated or if it was necessary for the national economy. Kuncze said that Orbán's words only sought to garner votes both from the extreme right and the extreme left.
