The Szeged Kossuth Printing Press Kft will discontinue production and close down its only plant on Sept. 2 with the aim of selling the property in order to pay its debts, Managing Director Tibor Névery told the daily Népszava. "If the plant closure and property sale is necessary to pay our employees and consolidate the company, then this is what we should do," he said, adding that the business itself will not cease to exist and may restart production after the consolidation if possible. The printing press fell into arrears with its employees' pay two months ago, and it also owes redundancy pay to the workers it has been forced to lay off.
