PM office/T-Mobile sign contract

The Prime Minister's Office and T-Mobile Hungary Rt - Magyar Telekom consortium officially signed a contract, according to which the consortium will be responsible for installing and operating a new general radio transmission system (ERD), mainly used by the ambulance and the police in Hungary, Világgazdaság reported. The official deadline for the introduction of the new system is January 1st, 2007, and the consortium will be the official operator of the system for 10 years following the initialization. The network will consist of 300-400 base stations and some 42 thousand receivers will be able to join the system. The net fee for the use of the service is Ft 9.3 billion per year.
