Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will name the next central bank (MNB) Governor at a caucus meeting of the ruling Fidesz-KDNP coalition in early February, business portal Portfolio.hu reported on Thursday. The caucus meeting will take place in Gyula between February 5 and 7. According to leaked information, the PM will inform MPs of the ruling coalition parties behind closed doors about the government’s recent decisions. Index learned that the Premier will also announce who will succeed András Simor at the helm of the National Bank of Hungary there, Portfolio wrote.
