Orbán to name new MNB governor in early February

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will name the next central bank (MNB) Governor at a caucus meeting of the ruling Fidesz-KDNP coalition in early February, business portal Portfolio.hu reported on Thursday. The caucus meeting will take place in Gyula between February 5 and 7. According to leaked information, the PM will inform MPs of the ruling coalition parties behind closed doors about the government’s recent decisions.
