Tax increase plans and the handling of state debts were among the queries the main opposition Fidesz party's group leader addressed to the Prime Minister on Monday regarding next year's budget. János Áder noted that this year's budget deficit reached the annual target in the first seven months and said that the government had a confusing and hasty budget policy. He also asked Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány about plans for creating jobs in the light of recent Central Statistics Office (KSH) figures showing that unemployment had exceeded the "psychological barrier" of 300,000.
