New trade legislation proposed

The government is working on new trade legislation. The committee responsible for the legislation, however, has not been able to conclude the work, and it is now presenting two alternative versions to the cabinet. According to one version the legislation sales prices under procurement prices would be subject to regulation with the exception of end-season sales and shutdown sales. The other version does not include restrictions on sales prices. The law will contain new, so far unregulated terms like 'dominant market power', 'Internet trading', 'sales in public area', 'large trading area' and 'outside shop sales' and it will also regulate shops' opening hours.
