New palmtop-communicator arrives in Hungary

BlackBerry 7290, a Java-based wireless handheld device developed and manufactured by U.S.-based Research In Motion Inc. will be introduced to the Hungarian market by T-Mobile Hungary Rt. BlackBerry handhelds combine the key functions of traditional cell phones and the Internet, including e-mail and text messaging, organizer, web and corporate data applications in a single device. Their functions and capabilities compare with those of Nokia Communicator devices, while the design is more similar to PDA?s. T-Mobile representatives were not available to answer questions about the launch of the new product.
