The latest budget airline to arrive in Hungary is Switzerland-based Helvetic Airways, which will fly twice a week from Zurich to the FlyBalaton regional airport in Sármellék, western Hungary, instead of the overcrowded Ferihegy International Airport. Helvetic, which will be the first to operate scheduled flights to FlyBalaton, will add the new destination to its schedule on June 6, the company announced. This new addition to FlyBalaton comes fast on the heels of an announcement by national carrier Malév, to commence scheduled services from July 2 to Stuttgart and Munich.
