Neuzer buys Ft 100 mln plot to build bicycle warehouse

Hungarian bicycle maker Neuzer has purchased a plot for Ft 100 million from the Esztergom city council on which to build a logistics base, Neuzer's managing director András Neuzer told MTI on Wednesday. Tens of thousands of bicycles and bicycle parts will be shipped from the base each week, he said, adding that Neuzer needs a place to store bicycles for delivery during the winter months, when demand is low. The company sells about 80,000 bicycles a year, half in Hungary and the rest in Slovakia and Western Europe, generating revenue of Ft 1.5 billion. The company, which employs 100, has a 6,000 square meter production base and a 5,000 square meter warehouse.
