Nabi Bus 9-month sales drop 20%

Nabi Bus Industries Rt, the third- largest supplier of city buses in the U.S., said it sold fewer vehicles in the first nine months of the year because a supplier delivered parts late. Sales declined to 700 vehicles from 879 buses a year earlier last year, Budapest-based Nabi said in a stock exchange statement today. Excluding the U.K. unit Optare Holdings Ltd, which Nabi sold in July, sales fell to 350 buses from 511 a year earlier. Nabi's U.S. sales dropped because the company's supplier of natural-gas tanks was late with deliveries, the company said. (Bloomberg; NG 12)
