The Competition Office GVH has fined Magyar Telekom Rt Ft 8 million on the grounds that its advertising of the "Teleperc" package could mislead consumers, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. The competition office ruled that Magyar Telekom advertised its "Teleperc" package as the cheapest on the market. According to GVH, this was not the case, since other telecom companies offered lower prices. GVH also ruled that Magyar Telekom's comparison of its package and a similar Invitel package was invalid as it failed to note that one company uses second-based billing while the other uses a minute-based method.
