Mol picks Siirtec Nigi to build Ft 6 billion sulphur extractor

Hungarian oil and gas company Mol signed a contract on Wednesday with Italy's
Siirtec Nigi to build a HUF 6 bln sulphur extracting unit at its refinery in Százhalombatta, south of Budapest, Mol announced. The new unit, capable of extracting almost 100% of sulphur from petrol and diesel fuel, will comply with stricter environmental protection regulations. It will start operating in 2007. Siirtec Nigi may choose Hungarian companies as sub-contractors, according to the announcement.
