Mobile phone subscriptions rise 0.4% in July

The number of mobile phone subscribers rose 0.4% to 8,977,000 in July compared to a month earlier, the National Telecommunications Authority (NHH) announced on Monday. The number of subscribers rose 8.69% from a year earlier. The number of subscriptions per 100 Hungarians was 89 at the end of July, up from 88.6 one ímonth earlier and 81.7 one year earlier, the statement said. The number of active subscribers rose 6,000 in July to 8,280,000. Vodafone's share of the subscriptions rose from 20.20% to 20.38% in July. Pannon GSM's share fell from 34.18% to 34.17%, and T-Mobile Hungary's share dropped from 45.62% to 45.45%.
