MFB first-half profits up 43% yr/yr

The Hungarian Development Bank (MFB) recorded after-tax profit of Ft 4.65 billion in H1 2005, 43% more than in the same period a year earlier, according to the bank's unconsolidated preliminary report for H1. MFB had total assets of Ft 622.79 billion at the end of June, up 21% from a year earlier. Its stock of loans grew 38.7% to Ft 357.95 billion, and its stock of deposits more than tripled from Ft 13.57 billion to Ft 44.34 billion during the same period.
