President-CEO László Sándor of national airline Malév Rt. tendered his resignation at today?s board meeting as predicted by unconfirmed news reports earlier. Sándor is leaving the position at his own request, citing personal reasons. However, he will remain at the helm until Malév?s next EGM, which will take place on Feb. 11. In addition to appointing a new President-CEO, Malév?s owner the State Privatization and Holding Rt. (ÁPV) will also relieve certain board members of their duties and appoint new members to the board of directors.
