Lukoil expanding in Hungary

Russian oil company Lukoil?s subsidiary, Lukoil Downstream Hungary Kft. plans to create a network of 100-120 filling stations in Hungary, and intends to achieve 10% share in Hungarian fuel retail sale HVG business weekly reported. As the first step of the project, Lukoil Downstream bought 15 of Avanti?s 40 gas stations. The company opened 19 own petrol stations so far last year. 1100 gas station operates in Hungary, from which 400 is run by Mol Rt., and 179 by Shell Hungary Rt. With the current purchase Lukoil owns some 300 petrol stations in Eastern Europe.
