LeasePlan Hungaria to supply 1,800 vehicles to police force

The Hungarian unit of Dutch leasing company LeasePlan has won a tender to supply 1,800 vehicles to the National Police Headquarters (ORFK), LeasePlan Hungaria announced. The order is part of a larger, Ft 5 bln vehicle tender called
earlier by the ORFK. LeasePlan Hungaria will deliver the first 600 vehicles by the
end of the year, and has an option to supply a further 1,200 vehicles by the end of 2008. LeasePlan Hungaria has also recently won tenders from Hungarian railway company MÁV and state motorway management company ÁAK. LeasePlan Hungaria has a fleet of more than 8,000 vehicles worth Ft 18 bln. The company controls 35% of the Hungarian car leasing market. LeasePlan Hungaria's biggest clients include IBM, Mol, Borsodi Sörgyárak, Electrolux Lehel, Masterfoods and Pfizer. LeasePlan already manages police force vehicle fleets in Spain, in England and the Netherlands.
