KSH reports 4% GDP growth in 2004

Hungary?s GDP rose 3.7% year-on-year in Q4 2004, according to the preliminary figures of the Central Statistics Office (KSH). The national economy grew by 4% in the whole year. In seasonally adjusted figures, the country?s GDP was 1% higher in Q4 than in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, the gross added value of the service sector increased 2.2% year-on-year, while the production sector produced 9.2% more added value than in Q4 2003 mostly due to the outstanding performance of agriculture.
