Consultancy KPMG had revenue in Hungary of Ft 9.4 billion in its business year ended September, up 19% compared to the previous year, the company announced on Tuesday. We recorded strong performance across all our service lines, including audit, tax and advisory services, Robert Stollinger, Senior Partner at KPMG Hungary said. Growth was driven by audit and advisory work related to rapidly growing shared service centers, the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act and increased business and government activity as a result of EU accession, Stollinger said. KPMG's revenue from tax advisory services in Hungary grew 26%.
In Central and Eastern Europe, KPMG's gross revenue rose 23% to 200 million. KPMG employs 2,600 staff in 16 countries in the region.
