Korean Nokia-supplier moves to Komárom

The Hungarian subsidiary of South Korean Mirae Corporation is to invest Ft 2.8 billion in a new manufacturing plant in the industrial park of Komárom, northwestern Hungary. The new plant will serve as a location for surface coating Nokia cell phones, István Bertalanits, the park?s project manager, told BBJ Online. Mirae signed a land purchase agreement with the park yesterday for a 6.6-hectare plot with plans to start production before the end of the summer in the new manufacturing facility it is planning to build there. The project is currently in the planning phase, with construction work slated to start within three weeks.
