Karsai Holding to build Ft 1billion plant

Plastics parts company Karsai Holding is building a Ft 1 billlion plant at an industrial park near Tiszaújváros (NE Hungary), business daily Világgazdaság reported. Karsai Holding is spending about Ft 500 million to build the 10,000sqm production hall, and another Ft 450 million to outfit it with machinery. Production at the plant will start at the beginning of 2006. And later, the plant could be doubled in size, Karsai Holding CEO Béla Karsai told Világgazdaság. The new plant will employ 50 workers to make plastic parts for cars, electronics and household appliances. Karsai Holding is also building a new Ft 500 million plant at its unit in Romania. The unit, which makes packaging for drugs, cosmetics and
food products, will start assembling products when the new 3,500sqm plant, started last year, is completed. Last year Karsai Holding's Romanian unit, based near Vlahita, had revenue of euro 800,000. The new plant is expected to boost revenue to euro 1.5-2 million in 2006.
