Industrial production stagnates

Industrial production increased 1%, that is 1.3% calendar-balanced, in February 2005, the Central Statistics Office reported. Production volume was 1.8% higher in January-February than in the same period of last year. The seasonal, calendar-balanced industrial production index in February was 0.6% less than in January. Industrial export increased by 3.4% in the first two months of this year, but almost stagnated in February. About 70% of export in February was produced by the processing industry. Hungarian sales of the industry in January-February were 1.4% higher than in the same period of last year
