Hungary highly popular city tour destination with Irish tourists

According to the latest statistics, Irish tourists spent 56,200 nights in Hungary in 2004, up 37.6% year-on-year, the Hungarian Tourism Rt reported. According to the national tourism development agency, H2 saw higher growth than H1 due to the summer season, the Aer Lingus flight launched in the fall, and the increasing popularity of Malév flights. At January?s tourism award ceremony of Irish Travel Trade News, Hungary won a prize for being the second most popular city tour destination among Irish tourists.
