The Competition Office (GVH) terminated an investigation initiated by viewers against commercial channel ATV, declaring the complaints made in connection with its quiz show ?Pénzfürdő? [?Cash Machine?] fell outside its scope of authority, business news portal HVG Online reported citing news agency MTI. The viewers who filed the complaint believe the channel misled consumers and influenced their decisions in order to make extra profit, claiming the questions were overly difficult and the time limit for answering them was too short. They also suspected the operators of fraud by manipulating the computer that generates the jackpot numbers. GVH did not claim the complaints were unsubstantiated, but said they are certainly not for the competition watchdog to deal with.
