The Competition Office (GVH) has fined 14 road and bridge construction companies a combined Ft 1.3 billion for forming price cartels. The competition watchdog found that the constructors have divided up projects in national public procurement tenders for road and bridge building and reconstruction in the 2001-2002 period, harmonizing their bids accordingly. The companies allegedly also agreed to employ one another as subcontractors in these projects.
