Speaking at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday, Jan Haverkamp, an expert of environmental protection agency Greenpeace accused Hungary of planning to create an international nuclear waste site in scope of a planned waste site construction in Boda, southwestern Hungary, figyel?net.hu reported. Haverkamp bases his allegations on information coming form an EU working group called Sapierr. According to Havercamp, the group?s Hungarian member is ready to suggest the establishment of such a site in Hungary. Recently appointed government commissioner Ferenc Wekler denied the allegations and said that he would personally do anything to veto such a plan.
