Two alternative energy power plants were inaugurated yesterday: the country's first community wind power plant in Vép and a bio mass heating plant in Pornóapáti, Western Hungary, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. The bio mass heating plant's top capacity will be 1.2 megawatts and the planned yearly heat energy production is 8,200 gigajoules said András Gombos state secretary at the Environment and Water Ministry. The wind power plant will produce 1.2 million kWh of electricity. Gombos expects a step change in new investments into the construction of green power plants as a result of a recent decree binding utility companies to purchase the entire power production of such plants at a premium price.
