Graphisoft to move HQ to Budapest

Shareholders of architecture software maker Graphisoft will decide on a motion by the board to move the company's headquarters from Amsterdam to Budapest at an EGM early in November, Graphisoft announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) on Thursday. Graphisoft hopes to save 150,000-200,000 in administrative and legal costs as a result of the move. Graphisoft has always based most of its activities in Hungary, and moving its headquarters to Budapest makes more sense following its transformation into a European shareholding company (Societas Europeae) at the end of July, according to the announcement. The change of headquarters will not affect shareholders' rights, nor will it affect Graphisoft's employees, because it has none in Amsterdam.
