Globus promises profits by Q4

Hungarian canning company Globus Rt said yesterday that the company's
losses would stop growing in September and it would become profitable
again by the fourth quarter. The statement blamed second-quarter losses
on one-off costs related to layoffs and a streamlining of the company's
product portfolio. Globus had first-half losses of Ft1.012 billion,
according to its H1 report published yesterday, almost 25 times more
than losses in the same period a year earlier. EBITDA in H1 was
negative Ft 242 million, compared to positive EBITDA of Ft 972 million
in the same period a year earlier. (Econews; NG 13)
