German construction giant Hochtief plans to bid for Ferihegy Airport operator Budapest Airport, news wire MTI-ECO reported. The company will probably bid together with financial investors. Hochtief AirPort, a Hochtief subsidiary, owns stakes in the operators of the Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Athens, Sydney and Tirana airports. The Hungarian state is offering a 75%-minus-one-share-stake in Budapest Airport, but could up the stake to 100%, according to the tender invitation. The deadline for bidding in the pre-qualifying round of the two-round tender is June 28. Offers in the second round must be made by November 2.
