ZAO Gazprombank, the Russian bank owned by natural gas producer OAO Gazprom, plans to sell its 26% stake in Hungarian bank Általános Értékforgalmi Bank Rt (ÁÉB) for at least $80 million, Russia's leading business daily Vedomosti reported. Gazprom's board on September 28 will probably approve the sale of the stake to Firthlion, a unit of Hungary's Kafijat Kft, which owns the rest of ÁÉB, the newspaper said, citing an unidentified Gazprom official. Mikhail Rahimkulov, ÁÉB's general director and biggest shareholder, declined to give information to the paper.
