FreeSoft Rt, listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) since last fall, is planning a market entry in the US where it would open an office in Reston, Virginia, Customer Relations in charge of foreign markets Donát Vass told BBJ Online. The expansion has been made possible by a Ft 25 million grant approved by the IT and Telecommunications Ministry last year from a fund dedicated to assist SME?s in entering US markets. As FreeSoft is not yet known in the US outside of large corporations present in Hungary (such as Oracle), direct sales are not an option for the company; therefore, it will seek establish a presence in the first one or two years as a subcontractor through its partners. ?Being the home of IT systems, the US market is ideally suited to FreeSoft?s plans, with potential demand for our systems integration and systems migration services.
