A Polish company plans to continue expansion in Hungary by acquiring mineral water producer Apenta from its current German owner, Franken Brunnen, daily Népszava reported. The German company Franken Brunnen plans to sell Apenta to the Polish Maspex group because the water's high fluoride level means every bottle will have to be marked with a warning sign. However, Maspex plans to bottle the water from a different well, if the Competition Office approves. Maspex has been in Hungary for over ten years but it has
recently boosted its presence by acquiring the second largest fruit juice producer Olympos and one of the most well-known effervescent drinks producer Plussz Vitamin, the paper said, noting that Maspex exports its products to Asia, Africa and America, as well.
