Filtronic, a big UK maker of components used in wireless networking equipment, has revealed the site of its new plant in Hungary: Székesfehérvár, in the northwest of the country, business daily Világgazdaság said yesterday. The plant will start production already in September. Filtronic earlier said it was building a plant in Hungary in order to reduce the company's dependence on China as a low-cost production base. The plant, which cost several million pounds sterling to build, will make wireless networking components and microwave subsystems for the defense industry worth an annual Euro 60 million.
