The government plans to spend Ft 1,178 billion on tourism related developments between 2005 and 2013 under the National Tourism Development Strategy (NTDS), Világgazdaság reported yesterday. According to Regional Development Minister István Kolber, the NTDS will give priorities to the areas of health, national heritage and conference tourism, Világgazdaság said. In the NTDS's budget the largest amount, Ft 618 billion has been earmarked to upgrade tourist attractions, Ft 235 billion for improving facilities that accommodate foreign visitors and Ft 117 billion for human-resources development.
