EU positive balance among lowest

A European Commission report on allocation of EU subsidies showed Hungary's positive balance vis-ŕ-vis the EU to have grown the least of all ten new member states in 2004 as compared to 2003, reported the Friday edition of the economic daily Világgazdaság. Hungary received Euro 176 million more in support from the EU than it contributed to EU coffers in 2004, an increase of 2.92% from its 2003 positive net balance of 171 million. (Econews; Fri Vg 1)
