E.ON to spend Ft 11 billion to build heating plant in Hungary

German power giant E.ON AG, the world's largest publicly traded utility, said it plans to spend Ft 11 billion to build a heating plant in eastern Hungary town Nyíregyháza by 2007. E.ON will build the combined-cycle plant, with power capacity of 49 megawatts and heating capacity of 910 terajoules per year, in Nyiregyhaza, 200 kilometers east of Budapest, the company said.
