Dunapack poised for Ft 50 billion investment

Packaging company Dunapack Rt is set for a Ft 50 billion investment in Dunaújváros in a bid to move its entire production to the central Hungarian town, business daily Világgazdaság reported. The company is currently in talks with government officials on the extent of a grant the project should receive as a strategic investment. Dunapack, which has production facilities in Csepel and Dunaújváros with combined annual capacity of 270,000 tons, hopes to boost total output to as much as 400,000 tons through the investment. Dunapack had net profit of Ft 1.2 billion on revenues of Ft 42.9 billion in 2004.
