As of April 1, document offices will no longer aceept duty stamps but require payment of fees and duties by postal money order (?yellow check?), the Finance Ministry said. The decision aims to eliminate stamp duty fraud as part of the government?s efforts to curb forgery. The State Treasury?s money orders are available from each post office, where they are also accepted for stamp duty payment. The change affects all fees and duties collected by document offices except car sale duties, while other government offices will retain the stamp duty system.
