Attila Dervarics, chairman of the board of directors of Démász Rt, the electricity distributor for south Hungary, has resigned his post, effective October 18, Démász said yesterday. A shareholders meeting has been called by majority owner Electricité de France (EdF) for October 18 to appoint a replacement for Dervarics as well as other board members and amend the company's articles of incorporation. Dervarics stepped down as CEO of Démász in mid-January this year on the basis of mutual agreement. He was replaced by EdF with Yves Autret. EdF also appointed Marianne Jouvet to chair the supervisory board.
