Démász board chairman resigns

Attila Dervarics, chairman of the board of directors of Démász Rt, the electricity distributor for south Hungary, has resigned his post, effective October 18, Démász said yesterday. A shareholders meeting has been called by majority owner Electricité de France (EdF) for October 18 to appoint a replacement for Dervarics as well as other board members and amend the company's articles of incorporation. Dervarics stepped down as CEO of Démász in mid-January this year on the basis of mutual agreement. He was replaced by EdF with Yves Autret. EdF also appointed Marianne Jouvet to chair the supervisory board. (Econews; NG 13)
