Consumer prices up 3.2% yr/yr in October

Consumer prices rose 3.2% in October, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Friday. This was well under analysts expectations of 3.46 % quoted by business daily Napi Gazdaság. Consumer prices stayed the same from September to October, after falling 0.4% in August and rising 0.2 % in September. Core inflation rose a seasonally adjusted 0.1% from September and 1.4 % in October. Inflation in the first ten months of 2005 rose 3.6 % over the same period last year. The harmonized consumer price index rose 3.1% in October and remained unchanged from September.
