Brussel?s contribution to the Hungarian transportation development is ?9.6 million (Ft 2.4 billion), Economy and Transport Ministry reports. Hungary?s contribution is Ft 4 billion from the central budget. The support affects four projects, with a total cost of Ft 6.6 billion. The state received the subsidy for developing the railway lines that connects Szajol and Záhony (northeast Hungary), and Székesfehérvár and Boba, and also for preparing two studies regarding the improvement of shipping activity on the river Danube. The source of the subsidy is the Trans-European transport fund (TEN-T Fund) that can be applied every year.
