The Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) is starting a Ft 100 million (?4,000) advertising campaign to encourage companies to list on the bourse as well as private investors to invest in shares, BÉT president Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy announced on Wednesday. Advertising company Akcio-Nxs, which won the tender for managing the campaign in July, will run ads through television, print and online channels, and target medium-sized businesses and members of the general public, presenting the advantages of listing and investing on the stock exchange. Ads targeting companies will start in November, to be followed by ads for private investors from next January. The decision for the campaign came after a survey found that two-thirds of Hungarians would not invest in shares, which they saw as an insecure form of investment.
