Bombardier seeks court injunction

The German arm of Canada's Bombardier railcar manufacturer sought an injunction from the Budapest Municipal Court yesterday to halt execution of a contract between Hungarian railway MÁV Rt and Switzerland's Stadler for purchase of 30 trains following a decision by the Public Procurement Arbitration Court allowing the contract to go ahead. Bombardier resubmitted the same argument against MÁV that the Procurement Court disallowed. It claimed that execution of the Procurement Court ruling would cost taxpayers more than the amount MÁV would lose because of delayed fulfillment of the contract. (MTI; NG 4, Nv 4)
