Hungary's plan for preparing for a possible outbreak of bird flu will be declassified and made available to the general public to avoid panic, Health Minister Jenő Rácz said yesterday. Hungary is at an advanced stage in its preparedness for dealing with the various phases of a pandemic, he said. However, the current stage now concerns animal health rather than human health, he added. Many of the plan's details will be published in the internet and the government's openness, in line with World Health Organization guidelines, aimed to prevent panic among the public, he said.
